Billbee, JTL, Linnworks or Veeqo: a small EU seller’s options in 2026

· The Osnovia team, sellers with 1,500 orders a month

If you sell on Kaufland, OTTO, Shopify or Allegro and ship a few hundred parcels a month, you have probably searched for order management software for small sellers at least once. The search usually starts for one of two reasons. Either the tool you use charges more every time you have a good month, or it was built for a company several times your size. This article sets out what a small seller in the EU or the UK can realistically choose in 2026. Prices come from public price lists. Gaps are named openly, including our own.

All prices are as of 17 October 2026, net of VAT: billbee.io/preise, jtl-software.com/de/preise, veeqo.com/pricing. Linnworks publishes no prices. Price lists change, so check the vendor’s price list before you decide.

Why small sellers look around

Fees that grow with your volume

Most order management systems are priced by monthly order count. That is reasonable at the start. The problem is what happens as you grow.

Billbee, from Detmold in Germany, is the honest version of this model. The Starter plan costs €9 a month for up to 200 orders. Above 200, pricing is usage-based, and after three months above the limit you are moved to the Growth plan automatically. All features and integrations are included, users are unlimited and you can cancel monthly. Two details matter for a small seller: the minimum fee is charged even in a month with zero orders, and refunds and credit notes count towards the order total. Nothing is hidden. Your software bill simply rises with your sales.

Linnworks, built in the UK, goes a step further. It prices by monthly order volume in tiers, with overage charges above each tier, and publishes no prices at all. You get a quote after a sales call. That is an unusual choice for a product whose reviewers are, by one review site’s count, 81% small businesses.

Systems built for mid-market

Many names in the search results are not for you yet. plentymarkets (now plentyONE), Afterbuy and Pickware in Germany, ChannelEngine in the Netherlands with 950+ marketplaces, Shippingbo and Lengow in France, Brightpearl in the UK: these are mid-market and enterprise platforms, with onboarding projects and prices to match. At 300 orders a month you would be paying for capacity you do not use.

Veeqo only works in the UK and the US

Veeqo, owned by Amazon, has a shipping plan that is completely free, with unlimited users, SKUs and shipments, and no Amazon seller account required. That is a strong offer. It also supports only the United States and the United Kingdom, and its carriers are Amazon Shipping, UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL and OnTrac. If you ship from Poland to Germany, or you sell on Kaufland and OTTO, Veeqo is not an option.

JTL-Wawi needs a Windows PC

JTL-Wawi has over 50,000 customers in German-speaking Europe and the JTL Start edition is free. The catch is in the word “download”. JTL-Wawi is a local Windows application. You install it on a PC or a server, you look after backups and updates, and you are tied to that machine. If you want it in the cloud, JTL’s Cloud ERP starts at €49.99 a month. Shop hosting costs €29 a month per shop, an additional user €119 a month, and the Advanced (€99 to €119) and Pro (€329 to €369) editions add per-order fees of €0.11 to €0.35 beyond the package limits. “Free” describes the licence, not the setup.

The comparison

The table puts the four systems next to Osnovia OMS. Where a vendor publishes no figure, the cell says so rather than guessing.

Two notes. JTL’s per-order fees depend on package limits you should read on the price list; its WMS Start module is free up to 500 orders a month if you need warehouse functions. Veeqo prices are in US dollars.

What to watch when you switch

Whichever system you choose, the move itself has four weak points. They are the same for every vendor, Osnovia included.

Order history

Returns and warranty claims arrive months after the sale. Before you switch anything off, export every order you can reach, with buyer details, items, prices and tracking numbers, and keep the file outside any system.

Invoice numbering

Tax authorities across the EU expect invoice numbers to form a continuous sequence. The simplest moment to change systems is the start of a financial year. If you change mid-year, confirm that the new system lets you set a starting number and that the old one cannot issue another invoice during the transition.

Carrier contracts

Your contract with DPD, DHL or anyone else is yours, not the software’s. The new system needs the same credentials from the carrier portal. Confirm in advance that it supports your carrier and your type of contract. Shipping through a broker or a marketplace label service is a separate integration.

Automation rules

Rules such as “when paid, change status, message the buyer, prepare the label, issue the invoice” do not travel between systems. Write them down, together with your message templates, before you start. Rebuilding them takes an hour or two. Without the list, something gets missed.

How migration works in Osnovia OMS

The first screen after login is not an empty dashboard. It is an import. Today the importer reads from BaseLinker and Apilo, the two systems most sellers in Poland come from, and pulls in your products and order history before you connect a single channel. We built it that way because we have been through migrations ourselves.

After the import you connect your channels (Allegro, Shopify, Empik, Erli, Kaufland, OTTO and Temu today) and your carrier accounts (DPD and DHL), and you set invoice numbering. Invoices carry the VAT rate of the delivery country and feed the OSS return. Automations handle status changes, messages, labels and invoices. The sensible pace: import and check the numbers, connect channels, run one trial day with labels and invoices from the new system, then switch the old one off.

Osnovia OMS is made by a Polish software house that runs its own furniture business, about 1,500 orders a month across 7 channels in several countries, including Kaufland, OTTO, Temu, Allegro and Shopify. The OMS is the tool we use ourselves. It is hosted by us, with data stored in Finland, inside the EU. It is free for as long as it exists. We do not take a cut of your work, and we earn only on optional add-ons such as the AI assistant.

Who Osnovia OMS is not for today

In fairness, some sellers should not move to us now.

  • Sellers mainly on Amazon or eBay. Both integrations are in progress. Until they are live, there is nothing for you to connect.
  • Wholesalers and anyone who needs a WMS. Bin locations, hand scanners and multiple warehouses are not what we do. JTL’s WMS or a dedicated warehouse system will serve you better.
  • Anyone who wants self-hosting. Osnovia OMS runs on our servers only. If you need the system on your own hardware, JTL-Wawi is the obvious choice in this group.
  • Sellers whose main carrier is InPost, GLS or UPS. We ship with DPD and DHL today. Ask us before you plan around anything else.

If you sell on Kaufland, OTTO, Allegro, Temu, Empik, Erli or your own Shopify store, ship with DPD or DHL, and want to stop paying more for every good month, you are the seller we built this for.
